My stay at this lovely ryokan was simply amazing! From the incredibly helpful and kind host to the cozy and warm rooms with traditional beds and heated blankets, everything was perfect. The wooden baths added to the authentic experience, and the location in a preserved part of Gion was ideal for exploring. I cannot wait to visit Ryokan Inakatei again on my next trip to this beautiful city!

Hotel was good standard, I loved the stay.

I booked room assigned on arrival with private view on The garden as well as garden. The property was in the heart of the city. Easily reached Sushi Yoshida, located just a pleasant stroll away from the hotel, had lunch/dinner there.

The room was cozy and particularly good, had climate control and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.

The ryokan has a beautiful building and rooms with authentic Japanese decoration. It's located in the heart of the city, next to Higashiyama, making it one of the best areas for tourists to stay in Kyoto. Additionally, it's very near the Yasaka Shrine and an easy walk to the astonishing Kiyomizu-dera, as well as sights and attractions in the old town and Gion areas.

The traditional hotel is stunningly beautiful, with lovely building and rooms featuring gardens or balconies. Its unbeatable and excellent location in an atmospheric area close to Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu-dera makes it one of the best areas for tourists to stay while in Kyoto.

The room we got when we arrived was really comfy. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is great; it's right in the heart of the old town area! 🌟

We recently stayed at a beautiful, traditional Japanese inn located in a historic neighborhood. It was conveniently located close to the bus stop, old temples, and gardens, making it a great base to explore. Our room with a garden view was beautifully appointed with traditional furnishings and modern facilities, ensuring a comfortable stay. The service was excellent with attentive hosts who spoke fluent English, serving authentic breakfast and delicious dinner.

While the shared bathroom was clean and well-equipped, it required us to walk down the stairs, which may be challenging for those with disabilities.

It's very near the Yasaka Shrine and offers an easy walk to the astonishing Kiyomizu-dera, one of the top sights in Kyoto. The rooms are beautiful, with a garden or balcony, and offer a family atmosphere. The accommodation provides excellent service and great value, making everything great for a stay.

Our stay at Inakatei was truly memorable. The ryokan's traditional atmosphere and charming setting in the historic part of Kyoto made it a unique experience. The wooden baths and creaking floorboards added to the authenticity and made us feel like we were truly immersed in Japanese culture. The location was perfect for exploring Gion and the surrounding area. I highly recommend this ryokan for anyone looking to have a traditional and memorable stay in Kyoto.

Had a great experience at a traditional Japanese inn over Easter. the complimentary tea and sweets upon arrival were a nice touch. the location was ideal for exploring the historical sights and nearby attractions. the bed was surprisingly comfortable and the traditional decor was charming.

The shared shower and toilet facilities were inconvenient and required going downstairs. the noise from the bell ringing until late at night was bothersome.

We truly enjoyed its marvelous and amazing location adjacent to Higashiyama, certainly one of the best areas for tourists to stay while in dazzling Kyoto. Very near the Yasaka Shrine and an easy walk to the astonishing Kiyomizu-dera, one of the top sights in Kyoto. The room was beautiful and the view of the neighboring garden was good.

My Thanksgiving stay at this Japanese hotel was amazing! The first thing I loved about it was the traditional Japanese style room with futons, tatami and sliding doors. Not to mention the beautiful view from the room. the delicious homemade breakfast served by the owner was simply delightful! The location was also very convenient, as it was close to both bus stops and within walking distance to all the main attractions.

I did experience some noise issues during my stay. The walls were extremely thin, and the creaky flooring made it difficult to walk around without being very loud.

I had such a great time staying at this hotel in the heart of a vibrant district. The location couldn't have been more convenient, just minutes away from the old town. The attention to detail in the rooms, especially the private living area and garden, was absolutely beautiful and added to the authentic Japanese experience. Additionally, the breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying, making it a great start to the day.
